Dunn School group leader Monika Gullerova has been awarded a Hugh Price Fellowship at Jesus College following a successful application and interview earlier this month.
The award, tenable for three years in the first instance, recognises Monika as a successful early-mid career researcher of clear academic distinction.
Monika’s group aims to understand how nuclear RNAi regulates gene expression in normal cells and how is it related to misregulated genes in breast cancer cells. In particular, her research focuses on the enzyme called Dicer and its function in the nucleus where it acts in the processing of double stranded RNA molecules.
