Herman Waldmann celebrates as drug regulator appoves new treatment for multiple sclerosis

Herman Waldmann and his group are celebrating the approval of their new drug to treat multiple sclerosis.


The highly effective treatment for the disease, developed in collaboration with Cambridge University, was approved by the European Medicines Agency on 17 September 2013. 


Herman said: ‘It is the first drug for multiple sclerosis that only needs to be given for a short course to provide long-term benefit.’
