Research
We carry out world-leading research in molecular and cell biology. Our scientists aim to define the basis of human health and disease, and develop interventions that benefit peoples’ lives. The Dunn School offers a dynamic and supportive environment for researchers intent on making groundbreaking scientific discoveries. We aim to recruit Group Leaders, Postdocs and PhD students who will become the next generation of research leaders.
Research Groups
There are currently over 30 research groups at the Dunn School, with leaders drawn from across the world. Their diverse interests and expertise creates a dynamic, stimulating environment. Many groups share common interests which fosters the vibrant scientific community found at the Dunn School.
Research areas
Scientists at the Dunn School employ a wide range of approaches to address fundamental biological and medical issues. Research spans five main areas: Cell Biology; Development and Stem Cells; Genome Stability and Cancer; Infection and Immunity; RNA and Gene Expression. The research in many groups spans multiple areas, leading to an interactive environment, and fostering synergy.
Research Facilities
Cutting edge research depends on access to state-of-the-art facilities. The Dunn School has consistently invested in leading-edge core facilities. These are staffed by scientists with specific expertise who offer advice and support through one-on-one meetings, and offer a series of seminars in the Dunn School.
