Two Proudfoot Group rising stars have been profiled in Molecular Cell to coincide with their research paper, Distinctive Patterns of Transcription and RNA Processing for Human lincRNAs, being a featured article in the current edition of the peer-reviewed scientific journal published on 5 January 2017.
In a broad ranging interview the paper’s two first authors, Russian born Margarita Schlackow, 30, and Takayuki Nojima, 38, from Japan, speak about their love of science and interests within and outside the lab.
Head of Department Matthew Freeman said: “The interviews with Margarita and Takayuki not only demonstrate the Dunn School successfully attracting and nurturing the best researchers from around the globe but highlight the department’s cultural diversity. I love the internationality of the Dunn School community and it will definitely remain one of our great strengths regardless of Brexit.”
