Gull Lab members help build scientific research capacity in Ghana

Building scientific research capacity skills in Ghana continues to progress with the visit of Dunn School Group Leader Professor Keith Gull and Postdoc Jack Sunter in July 2016.

Keith is addressing government ministers and university heads, and Jack is running a workshop during their 10-day visit, building on previous visits to develop scientific research capacity in the country.

Jack said: “The students in Ghana are enthusiastic and friendly, and very keen to learn new techniques. I feel privileged having the opportunity to return.”

Jack is presenting a research seminar on trypanosomes and running a discussion group on antibody capture and antigen capture diagnostics as part of an infectious diseases workshop for masters students in the department of biochemistry at the University of Ghana.

The Royal Society and The Leverhulme Trust sponsor the capacity building initiative.
