Dunn School postdoc helps build skills of researchers in Ghana


Jack Sunter from the Gull lab has been developing the practical research skills of students in Ghana after presenting at an infectious diseases workshop there from 6 – 17 July.


The workshop on molecular biology, pathogenesis and diagnostics of neglected diseases was ran for masters students in the department of biochemistry at the University of Ghana.


Jack said: ‘I was very impressed with the eagerness of the participants to learn new techniques and feel grateful to have had the opportunity to travel to Ghana and assist in building research capacity there.’


Jack presented a research seminar on trypanosomes and ran a discussion group on antibody capture and antigen capture diagnostics as part of a workshop.



The workshop, in its second year, was sponsored by The Royal Society and The Leverhulme Trust.
