Centenary Symposium

Join us on Wednesday 14 July 2027 for our Centenary Symposium, the highlight of our centenary celebrations. The symposium will be a unique opportunity to bring together current Dunn School staff and students, our alumni, and expert guest speakers, to reflect on our past, current and future research.

The symposium will include both scientific and non-scientific sessions reflecting on the challenges and opportunities facing modern science and celebrating our past research and members.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Professor Gillian Griffiths, Chair of the Department of Cell Biology at Yale School of Medicine, USA, and Dunn School alumna
  • Professor Maria Leptin,  President of the European Research Council and visiting professor at the Dunn School
  • Professor Leo Poon, Head of the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences, School of Public Health at the University of Hong Kong, and Dunn School alumnus
  • Dame Professor Fiona Powrie, Director of the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford and Dunn School alumna
  • Professor Tim Springer,  Harvard Medical School
  • Professor Irene Tracey, Vice-Chancellor University of Oxford

The Centenary Symposium will then be followed by a reception at the Natural History Museum.
