Jamal Ibrahim’s memories

Jamal Ibrahim was a post-doc scientist in William James’ group at the Dunn School in the years 1994 – 2001. Jamal has recently shared some photographs of his time at the Dunn School and during visits back.

Jamal Ibrahim with his piece of art titled 'Peace Together'

Taken in 2021, Jamal is now an exhibited artist and he is seen during the Covid pandemic period handing over his piece titled ‘Peace Together’ (2018) to a lab scientist in the William James lab at the James & Lilian Martin Centre for Stem Cell Research, Sir William Dunn School of Pathology.
It had just been recently acquired by Prof. William James to hang in one of the corridors at the research facility.

Jamal Ibrahim with portrait of Sir Henry Harris

Taken during a visit in 2011 to the Dunn School to catch up with friends. A selfie taken on the Dunn School central staircase to capture a memorable painting of emeritus professor Sir Henry Harris.

By lucky coincidence, on the same visit in 2011, the Sir Henry Harris was busy doing some photocopying at the top of the central stairs. Asked for a memento selfie, Sir Henry very kindly obliged.
