Natalia Gromak, Andrew Bassett and Monika Gullerova have received John Fell research grants in the latest round of awards from the fund.
Natalia’s substantial award is for a project looking at molecular mechanisms of transcriptional gene silencing in Friedreich ataxia.
Andrew’s grant is in support of the newly established Genome Engineering Oxford facility, encouraging the use of genome engineering techniques.
The fund is also supporting Monika’s research into gene expression through transcriptional gene silencing.
Since 2006, Oxford University Press has transferred £5m per annum to create the John Fell OUP Research Fund. The fund provides seed corn and start-up grants, stimulating applications to external agencies.
