Postdoctoral Research Assistant - Transcriptional Gene Silencing and its Role in Disease

Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 p.a.

This is a post for an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Assistant interested in studying mechanisms of transcription, RNA and their role in DNA damage response to work in Dr Monika Gullerova's laboratory.

You will manage your own academic research and admin activities, adapt existing and develop new scientific techniques and experimental protocols, test hypotheses and analyse scientific and be able to review and refine working hypothesis as appropriate. You should have a relevant PhD or equivalent and have relevant experience in molecular biology or related fields. You will also have experience and expertise in advanced molecular biology techniques and experimentation.

The research will involve a combination of in vivo and in vitro approaches. Applications from ambitious and committed applicants are particularly welcome. Previous experience in relevant research area is appreciated.
