Postdocs

There are an estimated 120 Postdoctoral scientists currently working at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, from over 30 different countries. The Postdoc Association (PDA) aims to bring Postdocs together by organising social (Postdoc Coffee Meeting and Dunn drinks) and career-oriented events (Mentoring scheme for Postdocs, Get to know your Dunn School PIs series, and workshops), as well as providing relevant information to the postdoc community. The PDA also provides support for newcomers (Postdoc Handbook, Postdoc Pal scheme) and represents the Postdoc community in different committees: Departmental (PIs), Athena Swan, Anti-bullying and Harassment, Oxford Research Staff Society (OxRSS), and tries to discuss anything that might be related to or affect postdocs at the Dunn School!

Whilst research is the overwhelming priority for Postdocs at the Dunn School, there are plenty of opportunities for those interested in building a network during their time in Oxford, or in gaining experience in teaching (tutorials or practical classes), being part of College life or exploring career development opportunities. Browse the pages (menu is on the left) and do not hesitate to contact the Postdoc Association if you have any questions, or wish to be added to the Postdoc mailing list.
