Digital Deposition of your Thesis
- All research students who started their degree after 1st of October 2007 are required to deposit a digital copy of their thesis in the Oxford Research Archive.
- The thesis must be deposited when the final version of the thesis has been approved by the thesis examiners.
- All theses published in this Department will be embargoed for three years after deposition, after which time they will become freely accessible over the internet.
- At the time of deposition students can request that there is no embargo, or that all or part of the thesis remains embargoed for longer than three years.
- When writing up students need to take particular care with including any sensitive or copyright materials in their thesis.
- Sensitive material includes patient details and information relevant to patent applications.
- Copyright material includes previously-published figures, which are commonly included in Introductions. Permission should be sought for their use.
- Advice on how to deal with sensitive or copyright material can be obtained from Anton van der Merwe (Director of Graduate Studies).
