Graduate Supervision System

The Graduate Supervision System allows both students and supervisors to submit termly progress reports ONLINE.

 

Students can submit their reports in weeks 6 and 7 only. Completion by students is optional. We recommend that students use this system to report formal meetings with supervisor & graduate advisor.  This is an acceptable alternative to the standard paper form provided that it:

  • includes the date of the meeting; and
  • confirms that the graduate advisor was present at the meeting.

 

Supervisor(s) can submit their reports from week 8 and should do this by week 11. Supervisors must submit a report. It will no longer be possible to submit an online report after week 3 of the subsequent term. If this window is missed a paper supervision report will be required.

 

Students and supervisors will receive an email at the beginning of each period notifying them that reporting is open. We recommend that they complete the report two weeks of receiving this notification. There will be no automatic reminders sent.

 

All reports will be available as soon as they are submitted to students, supervisors, College advisors, the Graduate Studies administrator (Lucinda Risius), and the Director of Graduate Studies (Anton van der Merwe).
