Fees, funding and Colleges
Fees
You will need to pay University Fees.
The University fee depends on your fee status. Further information can be found here https://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/graduate/fees-and-funding/fees-and-other-charges/fees
Funding
All applicants that apply to our Departmental Prize Studentship Competition are automatically considered for full funding from a variety of sources including the MRC, the EP Abraham Research Fund, the Clarendon Fund, and Colleges. This will cover University Fees and funding for living expenses.
Further funding opportunities can be identified on the Universities Fees and Funding site.
There are a number of external sources of funding that must be applied for separately.
Colleges
As Oxford is a collegiate University, you will have to be admitted by a college. The college provides you with the opportunity to interact with other postgraduate students, undergraduates, and experienced academics across all subjects taught in the University. The application form includes an opportunity for you to express a preference for a College. Your supervisor or the Graduate Student Administrator can help you with your choice. Some scholarships require you to join a particular College, often because the College is contributing to the funding. If you apply after the March deadline, please contact us regarding a college choice before submitting an application.
